Maseru, Lesotho Area - Week 27

Sister Makutoane's Rastafarian brother!

We are teaching some cool people!! The 3 most promising investigators are all related to members. It is important for them to have that support system because otherwise there is potential for them to get baptized and then go less active. One woman we are teaching has a photographic memory! Each time we visited her we would give her something to read and when we would come back she could remember everything. Last time we saw her she perfectly recited 1 Nephi 1-7. That is 7 chapters in the Book of Mormon!! There have been some cool miracles in Maseru.

Proverbs 3:11-12
"My son, despise not the chastening of the Lordneither be weary of his correction:

For whom the Lord loveth he correctetheven as father the son in whom he delighteth."

I was reading in the Book of Mormon about 2 groups of people. The first are the people of King Limhi, who are put in bondage because of their iniquities. The second are the people of Alma, who were in bondage even though they were righteous. Trials come for one of 2 reasons: either we messed up, or God is testing our faith. Either way, we can use correction from the Lord as a learning experience. Instead of becoming bitter about problems, we can instead ask why. Why would God put me in this situation? What does he want me to learn from it? As we ponder that question instead of getting angry, we can overcome our problems quicker and move on with happiness!

Much love and blessings for the month of May!!
