Umlazi District - Elders Blamoh, LaHue, Da Silva, Sala, Harbertson, Jeri I had a slight scare this morning when I logged into my email and my account had been suspended. Thankfully when I checked back in the evening everything was back to normal. Letters would never suspend themselves. Then again, imagine if I had a write a letter to every one of you. I'm grateful for technology even though it fails me sometimes. Work is going!! I'm enjoying Toti so much. Sure that means that President Thompson will pull me out of here soon. You can never have nice things for too long, right? The confirmations of Mhlengi and Dudu went well. Mhlengi received the Aaronic Priesthood as well! Now he is a teacher and he can prepare the sacrament. It is so nice to see people given the priesthood. Now that EQ and HP are combined the 3rd hour class is huge! Amanzimtoti ward is growing bigger each week! We have been very blessed this week with things to do. Full days of appointmen

This is a funny story, and I'm only slightly embarrassed to tell it. I got in an accident. Sort of. Thursday night I was looking in the mirror and saw that some of my hair was too long on the side so I figured I would just take the scissors and blend it in and everything would be okay. As I made the first cut, the scissors slipped and cut a huge chunk out of the side of my hair. I tried to fix it, but as I kept cutting it only made things worse. So that night I ended up sleeping around 12 with a messed up haircut. In the morning we ran over to a barber quick and he fixed up the sides. I asked him to trim the top but his English wasn't very good so instead he took a 3 and buzzed the top. The rest is history. Now I have no hair! It's funny now that I tell people the story. It will be back in 6 months anyway! On Sunday we had the baptisms of Dudu Stofile and Mhlengi Thusi. Dude was recently married to her husband Dave. They moved into the ward from Joha

Elders LaHue, Jeri & Sala I can see why everyone so highly praised General Conference this year. President Nelson is working hard. No more home teaching!! Elder's Quorums everywhere are singing for joy! Hahaha. I learned some powerful insights about revelation from President Nelson. I also enjoyed talks from President Oaks, Lynn G. Robbins, and Devin G. Durrant. The big theme that I took from conference was "stay on the covenant path". Also I'm very excited that the church is placing an increased emphasis on ministering to others individual and reaching out. Sustaining Russell M. Nelson as a prophet was a spiritual highlight. Plus the Mormon Tabernacle Choir seems to get better each year. We are living in an exciting time in history!! Bible Dictionary: "Prayer" - "As soon as we learn the true relationship in which we stand toward God (namely, God is our Father, and we are His children), then at once prayer becomes natural and in

Dave & Dudu's wedding! This week has been pretty difficult for me. I had little to no desire to go to the area or do much of anything. Luckily we had a ton of appointments so there wasn't much time to sit around and think. One of the biggest blessings that happened was having Elder Russell with us for 2 days. He made our days exciting and kept us entertained. I really respect him for how he was able to help me during those 2 days. Another thing that helped was when I read ch. 3 of the addiction recovery book. It talks about aligning our will with God's will. I put up a picture of Jesus Christ smiling above my desk to help me think of him more. Our Easter service was fantastic! Our bishop showed some videos of Christ and I was able to feel the spirit powerfully. I'm sure this week of my life has done a lot to shape my character. Transfer news: Elder Sala and I are staying together for a 3rd transfer. I am pumped!! On Tuesday I killed a chicken at a
